UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

Uniform requirements Peninsula Ballet School 2017   (NB: Adult Classes are exempt)

Peninsula Ballet School Jackets and ballet uniform Skirts are now all available at studio

Ballet Uniform Girls – students can have either full sole / split sole pink leather ballet shoes with half inch elastic sewn across the instep which can be purchased from our dancewear stores. You will also need salmon pink ballet stockings, (junior students may wear short socks but Tights are needed for the exams and the concert) a skirt, a leotard and a cross over in class colours. Senior students may also require one inch flesh nylon ribbons on pointe shoes, with elastic on heels if needed.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not buy Pointe Shoes without Miss Preston’s permission (A Dance Physiotherapist Test will be required)

Leotard colours all styles: NB: The colour has now changed for Stages & Degrees 

Junior School (Tinies, Tiny tot, Pre-Primary, Primary): Light Pink  (Circular Skirt with sequin at centre front prefered)

Middle School (Stages 1-4): Mulberry* Leotard & Full Circle Skirt (Energetics & Bloch Brand)
Senior School (Degree 1-2): Dark Purple – Leotard & Navy Blue – Duette Chiffon Skirt  (Bloch Brand only)               Senior School (Degree 3-6) (own choice of simple colours and styles)

*There will be a change of uniform transition period, for the students in Stage 3 and Stage 4. Please speak to Miss Cate about your uniform requirements.

All female ballet students must have the hair tied away from the face in a bun.

Ballet Uniform Boys – students can have either full sole / split sole black leather ballet shoes with half inch elastic sewn across the instep which can be purchased from our dancewear stores. A white skivvy or a close fitting white T-shirt or a white short sleeve leotard,  black shorts or black stirrup or foot-less, cotton-lycra tights

From Stage 4 & all Degrees & SENIOR CLASSICAL BOYS

White short sleeve or sleeveless leotard, black stirrup or foot-less tights and socks

PLEASE NOTE: All boys have black or white leather ballet shoes with half-inch elastic sewn across instep & short black or white socks

JAZZ AND TAP– Students require Tan Jazz and Black TapShoes. For their uniform, students may wear their ballet uniform sleeveless leotards or black leotards with bike shorts or black tights or tan coloured tights with the above shoes.

CONTEMPORARY– Students can wear bare feet for this class. Some may want to get some foot thongs / foot undeez or foot gloves, if they prefer.

Cotton Lycra pale pink sleeveless leotard. Pink cross-over or skivvy can be worn Pink
